First Trip of 2019 Caledonia State Park Campground

Our first camping trip of 2019 was to Caledonia State Park

Im a little behind on my website updating but here goes 🙂

Many of the Pa state park campgrounds are not open this early in April but Caledonia opens for trout season so it was our early April destination in 2019.

We were pleasantly surprised as many of the sites were made over with full hookups as well as completely new restroom and shower facilities. The new restroom and shower facilities are very very nice!

Many of the electric sites at Caledonia State Park now have full hookups.

On Saturday we hiked the Thaddeus Stevens Historical Trail. It was pretty cool to see where everything was one time and the history of the old Iron Works.

The best part of camping other then meal time!

Overall camping at Caledonia state park was great. It was a little chilly with a little rain at times but we had a good time and the facilities were great. We will most likely try to get a spot in the upper campground next April which was closed at the time we were there due to it having its facilities being replaced like the lower campground.
