First trip in our new Jayco Travel Trailer Cowans Gap State Park

Well as I mentioned in my last post Raystown was to be our last tent camping trip.
We have been looking at travel trailers for some time and were not planning on purchasing one until next spring.
I had narrowed our choices down to the Mini Winnie, Jayco Hummingbird and Jayco SLX 195RB.
Well I noticed Gayle Kline RV had a 2017 Jayco SLX 195RB marked down to move as the 2018 had arrived.
It was the floor plan we wanted with the side mount AC as well another item that was on my list. A walk around Queen bed was also a plus as the Winnie and the Humming birds both have crawl across beds. So we picked it up a week before our Cowans Gap trip that we originally planned to tent camp.

The Jayco 195RB tows great behind our Chevy Silverado 2500HD. We took US Route 30 the whole way to Cowans Gap. The route had a little mix of everything for the Trailer and Trucks first trip together.

We spent most the trip relaxing around the camp site and enjoying the new RV but did get out to do some exploring on one of the days.

There was a patch of wildflowers between the stream and our campsite. It was full of butterflies and hummingbirds.

We enjoyed our time at Cowans Gap and really enjoyed our first trip in the Jayco.
